This is consummate through a process known as play therapy practiced in therapy centre for child. Play is the most important and natural medium of expression for children. In many cases play allows children to communicate what they have difficulty saying with words because of their developmental level.

Activities at the centre

The special nature of the play room and its safe environment allows your child to address whatever is concerning to them. Children have an intuitive drive for healing and your child will address their concerns on their own level by using what is available to them in the play room. When children can play out how they feel or what they have experienced to someone who understands, they feel better because those feelings are being released and acknowledged. Therapy Acid Stomach- Solutions for Acidity Problem

What is acidity?

Acidity is nothing but a set of symptoms which occur due to a discrepancy between the acid releasing system of the stomach and proximal intestine and the protective mechanisms that ensure their safety. The stomach releases acid that is essential in the digestive process. It helps in the process of digestion by breaking down the food so ingested. At times, there is an excessive production of the acid by the gastric glands, resulting in what we call acidity. The main objective behind the Therapy Acid Stomach is to neutralize the excess of acid produced in the stomach. Acidity causes dyspepsia, heartburn and the formation of ulcers. It is also seen more often in developed and industrialized nations. But, these days, the importance of the Therapy Acid Stomach is also felt in the developing and less industrialized nations.

Why does it happen?

The stomach, intestines, and digestive glands release an acid called the hydrochloric acid and several enzymes (like pepsin) break down and digest the food so ingested. The stomach, as a part of the Therapy Acid Stomach, needs to be protected from hydrochloric acid and these enzymes, or it might also get attacked by these gastric juices. There is a possibility that the acid enters the lower part of the Oesophagus (or the food pipe). This may cause a feeling of heartburn. It generally occurs after meals. Ulcers may also be caused due to the over secretion of hydrochloric acid in the stomach. A peptic ulcer is an area near the upper part of the small intestine or the stomach, whose protective mucosal lining gets swayed off by the gastric juices so produced.

How to deal with stomach acidity?

As they say that prevention is better than cure and so identifying and avoiding the causes is an essential part of the Therapy Acid Stomach. A diet devoid of spicy, salty and acidic foods must be taken. Smoking and alcohol must be strictly avoided. People with nervous and emotional disorders and those who do high-stress jobs must be encouraged to modify their lifestyles. Tablets of Antacids form an important aspect of the Therapy Acid Stomach by neutralizing the excess acid so secreted. A group of drugs known as H2 Receptor Blockers assist the stomach in producing lesser amount of acid by blocking histamine receptors. Another different category of drugs called the Proton Pump Inhibitors stop the mechanism of acid-making cells thus inhibiting the production of acid. The category includes Omeprazole and Lansoprazole.
